If you got Foxwell NT630 ABS & Airbag Reset Tool for the first time,you need to follow below guide to operate before troubleshooting ABS and SRS.

Foxwell NT630 Software updates:
This tool comes with free software updates for 18 months from the date of purchase.
To apply software updates to the tool you will need a Windows PC/Laptop and an SD Card Reader.
If we have sufficient time between your order being placed and being shipped, we will often install the latest available updates for you on the day the order is shipped.

Foxwell NT630 Registration part 1 – Create an account
You firstly need to create an account with Foxwell and register your tool.
This can be done through the FoxScanner update software, which can be downloaded for free from the http://www.foxwelltech.com.
Just select your tool from the list Updates page and follow the instructions to download the latest version of FoxScanner.

The file downloaded will be a compressed zip file. Open that file and run the installer inside it.
Please note: The installer will sometimes try to install FoxScanner to the D:\ drive. In most cases you will need to change this to C:\

Once installed, open the FoxScanner software.
Click the Register button and complete the registration page to create your Foxwell account.

Foxwell NT630 Registration part 2 – Add your tool to the account
To register NT630 tool, you will need the tool’s Serial Number and ‘Register Password’.
You can find these on the tool by selecting Setup > About.

When logged into FoxScanner, click the ‘Register Products’ icon.
On the ‘S/N Registration’ tab, put a tick in the box marked ‘001’ then select NT630 tool in the Part Number column.
Enter the product’s serial number and password, then click Submit.
A confirmation box should be shown confirming successful registration.

Foxwell NT630 Updating Foxwell NT630:
Now close the FoxScanner software, remove the SD card from your tool (making sure the tool is turned off first!) and connect it to the PC via an SD card reader.
Please note: Due to the expanding coverage of the NT630, to install all available updates you will need an 8GB SD Card.
Tools supplied before June 2016 will have been supplied with a 4GB card.
So long as you are still within your 18 month update period you can run the update procedure listed below with a new, blank 8GB card.

We recommend re-formatting new 8GB SD cards to the FAT32 file system, with an “Allocation unit size” of 4096 bytes before applying the software updates.
Once Windows has detected the SD card, run the FoxScanner software and login again. click the ‘My Updates’ button.
After a few seconds, a list of the available software updates will appear.
Ensure that the correct serial number is displayed in the drop-down list.
Click the Update button to download and install available updates.

Please Kindly Notice: the Foxwell NT630 update process can take a long time. If your tool has not been updated recently, it may take a few hours for the update process to complete. Once the update has completed, don’t forget to ‘safely remove’ the SD card in Windows before unplugging it, to avoid the possibility of data corruption.

Renewals
Once your initial 18 months of free updates expire, the tool will continue to work – it will not ‘time out’ – but you will no longer be able to access the update server.
Should you wish to continue updating your Foxwell NT630, you will need to purchase an update package, which will give you a further 12 months of access to the update servers.

Good first impressions. Needed a more specialized scanner to have in handy and not to run to the greedy dealership for basic (and more advanced) things. This VAG scanner seems to be working well. It is updated for even the latest VW models (I saw the 2016 models listed). It took me not more than 2-3 minutes to get rid of annoying horn beep when locking and unlocking the car and a pesky airbag light, which I had tried to switch off using multiple approaches. Anyway, if you have a VW or Audi, this tool is a “must have”. Simple to use and navigate, and it pays off for itself the very first two times you use it.

Purchased to read Subaru SRS codes, and it has worked on 3 different models so far, and 2 Pontiac’s. The live data is what you would expect. Being able to store codes on the included flash disc is quite nice. I registered it immediately, and was pleasantly surprised that the software was already up to date!

Not good:

Not enough brightness of the screen for daytime working. No brightness adjustment feature. Although pretty nice device, but this basic drawback prevents me to enjoy working with it.

Experience Use Original Foxwell NT630 reset airbag on GMC 2005 truck

I Managed to use Foxwell NT630 ABS and airbag reset tool to reset the airbag on truck GMC the 2005 year.

Kindly notice:

The option of airbag reset can be displayed after selecting models;

No button related on the device or function in the main menu interface

Foxwell NT630 test ok on:
– Needed something to analyze and graph the O2 sensors. Foxwell NT630 does that and more. Updating the software worked fine and as expected. Of course it lists error codes as well. The only thing I was hoping it’d do was tell me what’s wrong with my air bag light, I’ve tested the cable connections, reset the codes because sometimes that’s worked for other cars out there. It has a thorough diagnostic for everything you can imagine. Overall this is a fine car scanner.

– Foxwell NT630 worked for doing our brakes as stated.

-I had trouble initially with Foxwell NT630 code reader, it worked fine with my VW and then i used it on my Dodge and had errors connecting to the OBD system, same thing on my Ford. Well I am pleased to say I was able to do an update on the NT630 unit which made it function properly again!

-Foxwell NT630 has exceeded my expectations! Solid unit without being too heavy. Comes in a very nice hard case. The cord is PLENTY long, but extremely stiff. I will have to purchase a better cord somewhere…

1997 Pontiac Grand Am perform gear tension relief sequence by Foxwell NT630

Part 1: Foxwell NT630 review on 2002 Mercedes Benz CLK320 SRS light

Issue description:

I induced the warning light back several days ago when I decided to replace a couple of stepper (never again!) motors so I knew that I wasn’t looking for a hard fault.

I can confirm that Foxwell NT630 did it and it was pretty straight forward to use. No other faults picked up on the car so I can’t comment any further on its performance. Foxwell NT630 is supposed to support most vehicles up to 2013 and compatible with both OBDI and OBDII cars, SUVs, minivans, light-duty trucks sold worldwide. So hopefully I’m future proofed for a few years. $179 cheaper than ebay, I will have chance to use it on other vehicle models. Foxwell NT630 is claimed to be compatible with most vehicles from America, Asia and Europe, if you are a professional technician, it can’t be more suitable.

Part 2: Foxwell NT630 review on Ford Falcon BA V8 ABS warning light illuminated and brakes not operating

Issue description:

Because of the safety of functional and safe brake operation, the ABS Module (and the SRS Module) does a self test by supplying voltages to each pin and measuring the voltage (the short version) on its corresponding return pin. In an instance when the voltage is not within its specified parameters -IE. Too High, Too Low, Missing, The ABS module then determines the relevant fault and deactivates the ABS system and illuminated the ABS warning light, which happens during each key cycle. This is why the light illuminates when the key turns on.

Procedure:

1 Navigates to the NT630 diagnostic menu of BA ford falcon, and read out the fault code “C1155 LHF Wheel Speed Sensor”

2 turn the ignition on. Reset the fault code after ABS module self test.

3 graph the left and right front wheel sensors from the live data menu with NT630. (The output of the LHF wheel speed sensor was flat line at the time of driving.

4 find the sensor is in fact open circuited after get access to the wheel speed sensor and a quick resistance.
